Checklist

1. Check your work is eligible
Your work must have been first seen or produced between 1 August 2010 and 31 July 2011. The exceptions are the Brand Building and Customer Acquisition categories, which can span two years to show long-term effectiveness, but some of the work must still have appeared during 2010/11.

2. Is it entered into the right category?
If you’re copying an existing entry form to enter it into multiple categories, make sure you change the category name on the entry form and tailor the copy accordingly. Read more about the categories here.

3. Check it’s legal
Work that has had a complaint upheld against it will be disqualified. If in any doubt check the ASA and DMA codes. Be particularly careful if the work involves Prize draws or competitions. No correspondence will be entered into regarding disqualification and no refunds will be issued.

4. Remove agency names
If you are entering on behalf of a client make sure any reference to your agency name has been removed from the entry form (except where you are specifically asked for agency details), any presentations, samples, CD/DVD covers and so on.

5. Sign Off
Once you’ve completed your form you must forward a copy to your client for them to approve it, without client approval your entry will be disqualified.

Your client will be sent an email with your entry details to approve or reject. If they approve then you will be asked to complete your submission by paying by credit/debit card or Cheque. If your entry is rejected you will see your client comments and will be able to edit the entry ready for resubmission. Please let your client know what they need to do to help you, it will be up to you to make sure all your entries are approved, paid for and submitted, and that all supporting samples are with Janet Attwater by September 16th.

By submitting your entry you are agreeing to the following:

  • The Awards Committee reserves the right to disqualify any entry which is in breach of the DMA Code, or which has been entered into the wrong category.
  • That the results will be audited at random.
  • That after the Awards Committee has announced the finalists the information given in ALL sections of this form other than where it states for the Judges Eyes Only (unless otherwise indicated) may be used by the DMA for showcasing best practice in direct marketing campaign development and execution.

Therefore, you will need to transfer your entry on to the online entry form once you are happy with it. Click here to download an Entry Form (For reference purposes only).

Please note that it is not advised to copy and paste directly from Word into the online form as some of the formatting from Word may cause issues with saving your entry. It is recommended that you type you entry in to the form directly or cut and paste your entry from notepad.
